Addition and interior renovation
The Corten House includes a two-storey rear addition, an extensive interior renovation plus a re-design of the front facade. Sensitive to the existing streetscape, the project respects the long-established rhythm of the traditional houses on the block. The original bay window and front porch were replaced with a corten steel box and a simple overhang supported by steel columns. The ground floor interior walls were removed, providing an unobstructed view from the front entry to the newly extended living space.
